Q.U.I.L.T., Inc Guild of Delmar – Lecture & Workshops

Hi All, I’m just “collecting” myself from two wonderful days of conducting workshops and speaking with the Q.U.I.L.T. Guild of Delmar, NY.

A great bunch of Quilters, (very talented quilters, too!), who meet the second Friday of each month, at the Reform Church in Delmar, NY.  Like most guilds, they had a lot going on, especially with their bi-annual Quilt Show coming up in April.  As the chair person said, only 91 days till the show!  Can’t wait to see it.  You really should check it out, it’s going to be one great show.  Dates are, April 16th & 17th, held at the Ravena HS, Rt 9W, Ravena, NY – Admission – $6/day.

The full day workshop on Thursday had quilters making “The Hen Party”  – Ten guild members decided to give it a go and all ten Hen Parties were so different AND so fabulous!  I was told that they would send pictures, which is a good thing, because My camera didn’t make the trip! Bummer!!!
We had polka-dotted hens, plaid & striped hens, palsied hens, country hens, easter-egg colored hens, AND Hens on the Beach!

Four of the Hen Party quilters showed up for the meeting on Friday, and brought their creations.  AND, I also brought my camera that day.

Then on Friday – after the morning meeting, we had another workshop, this one a half day, where seven of the quilters made a Shop Lady Notion Bag, using two of my favorite techniques , paper-piecing & fusible web appliqué!
