I visited the North Country Quilt Guild last month (yes, I’m finally getting around to posting this), and had a wonderful time meeting all the quilters from that area of our beautiful state! I always refer to the capital region of New York as “upstate”, but they definitely have it beat over us! They are truly “upstate New York!” Located in Watertown, right along the St.Lawrence Seaway! Beautiful country, and a great bunch of quilters, too!
Their group has about 100 members and were hosting the last meeting for the season, but never fear, they had many plans to keep the members busy for the summer, with continued charity quilts (always) and an upcoming show for June of 2012!
So on a Tuesday, May 24th, I presented the lecture for their meeting, and afterward, thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the “show and share” quilts! Great quilts, ladies! Then on Wednesday the 25th, eleven members and I hung out all day and made Shop Ladies! They made great progress, take a look . . . . .
As you can see, LOTS of Shop Ladies were made that day.
The quilters were Marilyn, Sharon, Linda, Joan W., Patty,
Lynn, Kit, Sally, Laura, Joan U, and Janet.
Thank you Ladies! You all are so much fun!
will be looking forward to seeing you all at your show in June 2012!
