I spent last Friday and Saturday hanging out with the Capital Quilters of New Hampshire. What a great bunch of ladies! They made me feel so welcomed that I felt like I was visiting with old friends! AND the weather was perfect for a road trip from upstate New York, through the southern Green Mountains of Vermont and over into New Hampshire. Absolutely beautiful! And it took me only three hours from Schaghticoke (home base) to Concord, New Hampshire! That’s one of the things I love about the eastern United States – everywhere is relatively close by! 🙂
Anyway, back to the Capital Quilters. As I mentioned, I was at their meeting last Friday, (the guest speaker), and then on Saturday we made a whole bunch of Shop Ladies! The Capital Quilters did great, and making the Shop Ladies is always fun. First there is the fun of seeing which shop the quilters will choose (there are ten of them), and secondly, which fabrics the quilters will bring for their shop!
My first two pictures show some of the quilters busy “building” their shop . . . .
And here’s all eleven quilters with their “Shop Lady” . . . .
Donna, Betsy, Naomi, Jill, Sue, Lorraine, Lorraine, Martha, Ginny, Shirley & Jean!
Love your Shops, ladies! 🙂
Thank you all again for two wonderful days!
Hope to visit you again for your semi-annual quilt show in April of 2013!
