Yes, that’s correct! DOE CAMP in Vermont! I taught there on November 9th and 10th (which happens to be opening of Deer season in Vermont). The class was sponsored by Carla, owner of Quilters Corner – 1428 Rt 7 in Middlebury Vermont. It’s a GREAT shop to check out and is located just south of the village of Middlebury. Their selection of batiks is VERY impressive!
You’ll also enjoy exploring Middlebury! The village boasts unique shops and café’s. If you’re only there for one day, be sure to eat at Storm Café!
So anyway, back to Doe Camp – the Middlebury quilters and I spent those two days together, but we were NOT hunting deer, instead me were making “Deer Island” along with the other two individual patterns from my “Up North” series!
So, lets start off with the individual quilters . . . .
Betsy and Wilma
Kay and Kim
Shirley and Kitty
Sue, Karen and Nancy
And the Group – with one long mountain range and lake!
What a fun bunch of Quilters! Looking forward to seeing them again, maybe for “Mud Season”.
